The Makita DHP492 is a brushless, cordless 18 V LXT combi drill with a maximum torque of 141 Nm and 21 torque settings. Its hard/soft fastening torque is 130/65 Nm, and the two-speed gearbox runs at 0–550 or 0–2,100 rpm.

The drill has an impact mode with a rate of 0–8,250 or 0–31,500 impacts per minute, plus a 1.5–13 mm keyless chuck for bit changes.
