The Makita DGA901ZUX2 is a cordless angle grinder with a brushless motor and a 230 mm maximum wheel diameter. It is powered by two 18 V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries in series, giving a stated voltage of 36 V.

AWS uses Bluetooth to communicate between the tool and a vacuum, enabling wireless control when used with Makita AWS cordless tools. Features include active feedback sensing technology (AFT), automatic torque drive technology (ADT), soft start, an electric brake, anti-restart function and an electronic current limiter for overload protection. The handle has a soft grip, and the large switch lever has a lock-off function. Battery indicators provide protection against over-discharge and overheating.
