Kew Gardens Ergo Twist Bypass Secateurs

These Kew Gardens Ergo Twist Bypass Secateurs are pruning shears for cutting living stems and green wood. Their bypass action makes a scissor-like cut that minimises bruising to tender stems.

The 220mm secateurs have 67mm high carbon steel blades and a maximum cutting diameter of 15mm. Auto-rotating handles are designed to reduce hand fatigue during extended pruning, while the non-slip soft comfort grip provides secure handling. A stepped locking catch adjusts for wide or narrow cutting widths, and integrated rubber shock absorbers add comfort during repetitive cutting. They were developed through collaboration between Spear & Jackson and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
