Handy THTD48 Towable Tine De-Thatcher 1.2m

The Handy THTD48 is a towable tine de-thatcher designed to be pulled by a ride-on or garden tractor. Its 24 sprung-loaded paired metal tines are intended to penetrate to soil level and remove moss, thatch and lateral rhizome build-up.

The unit has a weight tray for adding weight, transport wheels and a single-lever transport handle. Its net weight is 18 kg and gross weight is 20 kg; the wheels measure 18 cm (7 in) and are made of poly. It is manually powered and supplied with a universal hitch-pin, described as compatible with pretty much any make or model of garden tractor.

For operation, drag it across the grass in a crisscross pattern. The product title gives a 1.2 m size; the source also gives differing working-width figures, so neither is used here as a specification.
