About the product
The Gardena Smart Soil Moisture Sensor measures moisture in soil, with readings taken directly in the plants’ root area. It sends measurement data wirelessly to the Gardena smart Gateway, and garden information is available through the GARDENA smart App.
Used together with the smart Gateway and a Gardena smart Irrigation Control System, it can support watering when needed. The sensor can be placed on a lawn, in a flower bed or in planters on a balcony or terrace. Its flat head section allows mowers to pass over it, and it works in different types of potting soil.
- Soil moisture measurement range: 0%–100%
- Ambient temperature range: -1°C to +50°C
- Requires 2 AA batteries, which are not included; two batteries power the sensor for a whole season
