About the product

The Faithfull RCD adaptor is a portable plug-in device that connects between a mains socket and a 240 V appliance. It monitors the power supply for earth current faults and cuts power within 40 milliseconds of detecting an earth leakage current.

It is described for use with power tools and other electrical equipment, including hedge trimmers, lawnmowers and mains-powered drills. The source also mentions outdoor or damp conditions and possible cable damage, loose tool wiring or appliances becoming wet during use.

Do not use the adaptor on pond equipment, as disconnection removes the protective function.
