Eberspacher Espar Airtronic D2 12V Diesel Heater Kit for Mercedes Sprinter | High Altitude Ready | EasyStart Select

The Eberspacher Airtronic D2 is a 12 V diesel air heater kit for Mercedes Sprinter vans, and is also suitable for the Ram Promaster. It heats the vehicle interior independently of the engine, so it can provide heat while the engine is off.

The heater has four modulated heat output stages, based on the difference between measured ambient temperature and the required set temperature: maximum 2.2 kW (7,500 BTU), high 1.8 kW (6,500 BTU), medium 1.2 kW (4,100 BTU) and low 0.85 kW (2,900 BTU). The included high-altitude kit provides automatic adjustment for operation up to 4,000 metres. The EasyStart Select controller provides temperature control.

The kit includes the Airtronic D2 self-regulating diesel air heater, Mercedes Sprinter fuel tank sender kit, EasyStart Select controller, high-altitude kit, electrical harnesses and connections, exhaust silencer and clamps, fuel pipes, combustion intake pipe, 60 mm air outlet, flexible ducting and air entry grille. It also includes 1 metre of stainless steel exhaust pipe, 1 metre of 60 mm flexible ducting, 6 metres of fuel pipe from dosing pump to heater (4 mm OD × 1.25 mm ID), and 1 metre of fuel pipe from fuel source to dosing pump (6 mm OD × 2 mm ID). Clips and screws for standard installation are included.

The fuel tank sender kit is for models up to 2017. Check later models for a factory-fitted fuel sender port. The heater is certified safe for installation in passenger areas and near dangerous substances. Additional exhaust pipe lengths, air outlets and ducting are not included.
