About the product

The Eberspacher Airtronic D2 is a 12 V diesel-fired air heater with a maximum heat output of 2.2 kW (7,500 BTU). It provides four modulated stages: 2.2 kW, 1.8 kW, 1.2 kW and 0.85 kW. Its heating is programmable and independent of engine heat.

The kit includes a 701 digital controller with a 7-day programmable timer and diagnostic fault code readout, electrical harnesses and connections, 1 m of stainless steel exhaust pipe, an exhaust silencer and clamps, and 1 m of combustion intake pipe. Also included are 6 m and 1 m fuel pipes, a 60 mm air outlet, a fuel system with metering pump, 1 m of 60 mm flexible ducting, an air entry grille, clips, screws and an installation manual. The fuel tank standpipe is not included.

Normal heating operation is suitable up to 1,500 m altitude. For operation above 1,500 m and up to 4,000 m, a high-altitude kit is required. The heater is certified for installation in passenger areas and near dangerous substances. Stated applications include trucks, vans, small buses, RVs, caravans, mobile homes, mobile workshops, electric vehicles and 4 x 4 vehicles for rear heating. The warranty period is 24 months.
