About the product

The DeWalt DCS520 is a cordless FlexVolt plunge saw with a brushless heavy-duty motor and a 54 V battery. The motor offers the same power as a mains tool. Variable speed can be set for the cutting task, and the parallel plunge design helps maintain a smooth, constant hand position. An anti-kickback system is included; the enclosed guard provides 90% dust extraction capability.

Specifications include a no-load speed of 2,500–4,200 rpm, a 165 mm blade with a 20 mm bore and 47° bevel capacity. Maximum cutting depth is 59 mm at 90° or 55 mm at 90° with guide rails; at 45°, it is 44 mm or 40 mm with rails. The 42-tooth precision blade is described as giving a fine, accurate finish with little breakout in laminates. Rail adjustment allows the saw to be adjusted.
