About the product

The DeWalt DCS520 is a cordless FlexVolt plunge saw with a brushless, heavy-duty motor and variable speed. Its anti-kickback function is intended to help prevent injury or damage to the workpiece. The enclosed guard provides 90% dust extraction when the saw is fitted to an extractor.

The 165 mm blade has a 20 mm bore and 42 teeth. No-load speed is 2,500–4,200 rpm and bevel capacity is 47°. Maximum cutting depth is 59 mm at 90° or 55 mm with guide rails, and 44 mm at 45° or 40 mm with guide rails. Vibration is 1.1 m/s², with uncertainty K 1 of 1.5 m/s². Sound pressure is 82.2 dB(A) and sound power is 93.2 dB(A).

Parallel plunge movement supports a smooth, constant hand position, while the 42-tooth blade is described as producing a fine, accurate finish with little breakout in laminates. Rail adjustment allows the saw to be adjusted.
