The Dewalt DCS389 is a 54v cordless Flexvolt reciprocating saw with a brushless motor. Flexvolt batteries are compatible with the 54v Flexvolt range and DeWalt's 18v XR platform.

It has an intelligent variable-speed trigger, a lock-off switch and a lever-action keyless blade clamp. The two-position clamp supports flush cutting and tool-free blade changes. A pivoting shoe with an open top provides stability and visibility during a cut; an integrated LED illuminates the cut line.
