The Makita DRT50 is a cordless plunge router and trimmer kit powered by an 18 V lithium-ion battery from the LXT series. The battery mounts on top of the tool. Its brushless motor is paired with a variable speed control dial and electronic speed control to maintain speed under load. A soft-start circuit provides smoother start-ups.
